Buenos Aires is one of JP Morgan’s key strategic hubs with over 3,100 employees supporting different areas like Operations, Technology, Finance, Credit Risk, Human Resources, Legal... among others, providing value-added services, products and solutions to our clients located in various countries around the world.

The Customer Transfer team is responsible of the transfer of assets to and from the client´s accounts, based on instructions provided by Financial Advisors and counter broker institutions. The team´s interaction with the client is through Financial Advisors for all transfers submitted by Client on Digital Platform.

The main volume for the team’s workload is represented by ACAT (Automated Customer Account Transfers) which are basically transfers that go via system, and require analysts reviewing transfer forms provided by Financial Advisors to make sure they are in good order before they´re being processed. Non Automated Customer Account Transfers are manually processed and apart from reviewing forms, a follow up process is implemented in order to ensure transfer gets complete.

The Customer Transfers Team is constantly searching and working on improvements and growth, such as automations or implementing industry changes in order to provide the customer a better experience. Every team member has the opportunity to suggest or participate in any ongoing project for innovation or automation.

The main aim is for every member to get an end to end knowledge of all the processes and functions performed in the department. In order to achieve this, cross training is implemented in a monthly basis, giving the team resiliency tools for back up.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand the fundamental concepts related to operational flow
  • Perform day-to-day operations which may include facilitating settlements, transfers, cashiers, asset servicing or reconciliation
  • Identify issues, analyze problems and provide viable solutions
  • Attend regular group meetings with managers to ensure appropriate communication; escalate issues; incorporate feedback into day-to-day processes
  • Adhere to operating procedures; ensure procedures are up to date; non routine tasks should be reviewed and documented as necessary

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced Written and oral English skills
  • Client/customer focus.
  • Ability to prioritize workload from different sources.
  • Able to deal with deadlines to meet the daily cut offs.
  • Able to quickly adapt to different scenarios as per the internal client requirements, industry changes and procedures
  • Problem solving. Able to identify potential issues and find solutions to escalations that may arise.
  • Team player, within Transfers space and with other teams that work alongside with Transfers.
